WV Circuit Clerk E-filing and Case Management Modernization Project
This page lists a quick overview of updates, beginning in July 2016.
- August 19, 2016 – Upgraded Order editor made available to all registered users. In addition, a number of new features for court users, including: as decided by the Business Management Committee, rejected orders will no longer be part of the docket; clerks can now scan documents directly into the system from e-file options as well as the docket entry screen; to quickly find a case, judges can do a party search within the motion queue, pending pleadings, or order queue; the order description is more detailed in the clerk's e-mail queue; the amount description in end-of-month checks is more detailed; and improvements to the Preview mode in the Order Editor.
- July 12, 2016 – Upgraded Order editor for all court users, which includes improved ability to review proposed orders and more accurate editing functions. Orders e-filed with the new editor will contain an official e-filing court stamp as well as an electronic judge’s signature stamp. The electronic signature stamp includes a reference code than can be used to verify the authenticity of an e-filed order. This update applies to Marion, Monroe, and Hampshire Counties. Jefferson County court users will still use the old order editor. E-filed orders in Jefferson County will have the official e-filed court stamp but will not have an electronic judge’s signature stamp.
