WEST VIRGINIA STATE LAW LIBRARY
RESOURCES
Reference Service
The State Law Library provides reference assistance to the state’s unified court system, governmental agencies, attorneys, and the general public. Law librarians can show patrons how to find resources related to a particular legal issue and how to use resources in both print and electronic formats.
Librarians cannot answer legal questions or give legal advice. Librarians will suggest appropriate agencies to contact for further help and information and will provide contact information.
Document Delivery
The Law Library provides document delivery service to the general public. Requests for legal information must include the specific citation to a legal resource. If the Library does not hold the requested resource, it may be obtained from another library if available. Photocopies cost twenty cents per page.
