Supreme Court Law Library to host a Basic Tax Information Workshop

CHARLESTON, W.Va. – The State Law Library will present a free workshop titled "Basic Tax Information" at 6 p.m. on Thursday, March 26.

The featured speaker will be Ron Young from the Internal Revenue Service. The session will focus on basic tax information and refundable federal income tax credits such as the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC), Recovery Rebate Credit, and First-Time Home Buyers Credit.

Appointments may be made for assistance with free tax filing for low- to middle-income individuals with earnings under $42,000 per year.

The State Law Library is located in Building 1, Room E-404, of the State Capitol.  Metered parking is available near the parking garage and is free after 5 p.m.
